National Endometriosis Center

The National Endometriosis Center is dedicated to ensuring the proper management of patients affected by endometriosis. While surgical treatment plays a central role, the Center prioritizes conservative management whenever appropriate, with a strong focus on preserving the patient’s reproductive potential. Centralizing the care of patients in specialised referral centers, like ours, allows for a more effective diagnostic and clinical-surgical pathway.

The Center relies on a MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM, where gynecologic surgeons, specialized in advanced endoscopic procedures, work alongside other specialists (urologist, radiologist, ultrasound specialist, reproductive medicine expert, pain management therapist, psychologist, physiotherapist) to ensure the highest standard of care.

From the initial consultation to post-operative care, the same physicians remain with the patient throughout the entire process. The doctor who perform the initial evaluation is the same one who participates in the surgery, follows the patient during hospitalization and conducts the discharge examination.
Being fully aware of the importance of the doctor-patient relationship, the Center ensures continuity of care that fosters trust, mutual understanding and personalized treatment. This continuous connection not only strengthens the bond between the patient and the medical team, but also guarantees a consistent therapeutic journey – an essential element in the effective management of endometriosis.
The National Endometriosis Center performs approximately 600 surgeries per year for the treatment of complex deep infiltrating endometriosis cases (certified SDO data).
