What we teach you
During the course, we will teach you all the fundamental maneuvers of suturing and endoscopic knotting, intra and extracorporeal. You will be the protagonists of innovative and tested exercises of translational surgical teaching, which reconstruct the fundamental steps of surgical interventions.
You will acquire the right skills to perform the most frequent gynecological surgical procedures: the removal of an ovarian cyst with the “follicle sparing technique”, salpingectomy, annexectomy, uterine myomectomy, total and subtotal hysterectomy.
You will easily learn the secrets of intra and retroperitoneal pelvic anatomy, essential for good surgery.
Video sessions will simplify learning the most complex surgical technique, such as the radical treatment of deep endometriosis.
We will provide you with the appropriate knowledge to orient yourself in emergency situations such as intestinal suturing, ureteral and bladder repair, and securing vascular damage.
At the end of the training course, you will have to face a real challenge with yourself: you will be subjected to a final “challenge test” to verify the laparoscopic skill acquired.
NOTHING IS DONE BY CHANCE: surgical experience of the teaching staff, specific teaching competence, 13 editions with the same format, over 400 students, effectiveness of the teaching method, organizational meticulousness, continuously updated course.
WHY A CHOICE: In laparoscopy, there are numerous teaching methods available to facilitate the surgeon’s training: the dry simulator (pelvic-trainer), the electronic simulator, living models (pigs), human anatomical preparations (fresh cadavers), virtual reality. Unlike other disciplines, the endoscopic technique requires not only surgical experience but also a specific “ability” in the basic gesture (psychomotor skills): this is why the learning curve is excessively laborious. Therefore, the ideal teaching model should facilitate the acquisition of psychomotor skills. For these reasons we have chosen the traditional pelvic-trainer: valid, simple, repeatable, modular, economical, in full bioethical compliance.
The intensive training, redundant in previous editions, has been further expanded and simplified in its approach.
The latest learning curve data recommends participating together with your surgical partner to “team up” and immediately use the new laparoscopic skills in your operating room.
