Reflecting on our wonderful professional experience over the years, we have come to realize how fortunate we were to fully develop our specific aptitudes within our diverse and exciting field.

However, the time has come to reflect on how the fields of gynecology and obstetrics have evolved over the last twenty years, unequivocally defining two distinct areas of expertise that require specialized training to meet the new challenges of this century.

We have therefore decided to involve friends who have long focused on specific areas of in-depth study—both scientific and clinical—entrusting each of them with the task of organizing a scientific session. The aim is to provide high-level professional updates and to finally highlight the need to establish two distinct spheres that communicate with one another yet follow clearly defined, albeit different, training pathways.

Showcasing the city of Cosenza and its university offers a way to introduce many of you to a new reality in the South—one that we would like, perhaps somewhat presumptuously, to transform into a new laboratory of ideas.
